No travel insurance= you shouldn't travel!
Insurance through Wasteland Travel
The insurance that you purchase through us is non-refundable unless we consider it appropriate to refund the insurance premiums paid based on the terms and conditions of this booking.
You have a ‘cooling off’ period where, should you decide that you find that the terms and conditions do not meet your requirements, you can return the policy, insurance certificate and any other relevant documents to where it was purchased within 14 days of purchase for any refund to be provided. After this period we reserve the right not to refund the policy premium.
The medical excess on both policies is £250, this means if you make a claim you need to pay the first £250. Lower excesses apply to other sections of the policy. Policy excesses can be avoided by selecting the Excess Waiver.
Please note, it is your responsibility to make sure you have the correct details of your insurance policy on your ski trip. Reps are there to help but you are fully responsible for your safety and belongings, you agreed this at the time of booking.
We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance to cover medical costs, third party liability and cancellation charges. With this in mind, we have designed a policy that is suitable for our holidays and which can be purchased as part of your booking.
Please ensure you read and understand all insurance information before selecting one of our policies
Please read our insurance Status Disclosure which includes important information about our insurance services.
It is very important that you read and understand the following medical warranty.:
1. Some pre-existing medical conditions are automatically covered on the policy. See page 6 of the Policy Wordings for full details as it is important to make a health declaration to the medical screening team if any of the following apply to you:
i) you are aware of any reason why the trip could be cancelled or curtailed or of any medical condition which could result in a claim.
ii) you have, during the 24 months before this insurance started, suffered from or received treatment, advice or medication for any chronic, ongoing or recurring illness or condition. (A chronic condition is one lasting three months or more).
iii). you are waiting for the results of tests or investigations, or awaiting a referral for an existing medical condition. Failure to contact us could leave you with no right to make a claim, and may mean that you travel with insufficient cover.
You must contact our screening service and if cover can be provided for your condition you will be given a medical endorsement upon receipt of payment.
2. You will not be covered for any claim arising from a pre-existing medical condition of someone you were going to stay with, a travelling companion, a relative or a business associate.
3. You will not be covered if you travel against the advice of a medically qualified doctor or where you would have been if you had sought their advice before beginning your journey, or where you have been given a terminal prognosis.
4. You will not be covered if you know you will need medical treatment during your journey or you are travelling specifically to get medical treatment.
The above points are just some aspects that will not be covered. Please refer to your policy document for full details.
