Given recent news around the new Omicron variant, we wanted to re-assure clients that traveling to France is still very much considered to be safe. Our friends in the French Alps are ready and waiting to welcome you all…in fact, they’ve never been keener to have you guys in resort!
The changes of late are around increased testing allow governments and policymakers more time to fully assess the variant, they are “handbrake” safety precautions to allow better decisions making once more is known. France as a country has a highly vaccinated population, its vaccination rate is actually marginally above the UK now, so one could reasonably argue that being in France is as safe as remaining in the UK. Add to that the fact that this is a skiing or snowboarding holiday, where the vast majority of time is spent outside, and you have another compelling reason to feel comfortable.
There are risks in your local supermarket, pub, restaurant….these are the same risks you probably take regularly, so it stands to reason that these risks are no different in France. All resorts have clear, considered, simple guidance for covid, the resorts have been working extremely hard on policy for a very long time now, so if protocols are followed and people take a sensible, pragmatic view, you should be able to have an incredible trip.
So…..we’ll see you in the mountains, it's going to be fantastic.
